I’ve been working hard lately to get our new EDI Accelerator 2006 demo environment running. I took the new BizTalk 2006 demo VPC and added X12 and EDIFACT handling to it. So now, the Order Process not only gets fed with XML orders, but also with X12 and EDIFACT purchase orders. The demo automatically sends back functional acknowledgements to the originators of these orders.
It’s become a really nice, end-to-end demo, including good message tracking features, BAM, a sharepoint portal site where the “sales manager” can approve orders that are above a certain value and email integration for sending back acknowledgements to the customers. It basically touches all the areas that you run into when implementing a B2B solution for a customer.
This wil be a great tool for all the pre-sales people (both Covast and partners) out there to demonstrate the real value of integrated B2B and EDI on the BizTalk Server 2006 platform!
